im was my first solo show and highlighted the work I created during my Caetani CeramAIR residency. 2023 marked a return to ceramics after some personal challenges in my life. I pushed myself into creating larger sculptural pieces that explored the idea of injury, health, and healing. A self-portrait, I wanted to explore aspects of personality and how we are shaped through our experiences and how they can all live within one body, but show up in different ways and relevance depending on where we are and what we are doing. I am very grateful for the supports and to the fantastic people that I met while in the program, and am very proud of the work and exploration I was able to pursue in my 2 month residency.
